JGV COOKIES — TERMS & CONDITIONS
Please review the following terms carefully before submitting your order inquiry. By checking the acknowledgment box and submitting this form, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Order Requests & Confirmation
Submitting this form does not guarantee acceptance or confirm an order. This form is intended to collect the information necessary for JGV Cookies to review your request and determine whether the order can be accommodated.
Following submission, an order estimate outlining the requested items, design details, pricing, and applicable charges will be provided for your review. Customers are responsible for reviewing the estimate carefully to ensure all order details are accurate. Once the estimate has been accepted, an invoice will be generated for payment.
Orders are confirmed only after payment has been received in full. Submission of an inquiry, receipt of an estimate, or generation of an invoice does not reserve your requested date or confirm your order.
2. Payment & Production Timelines
All production timelines and order deadlines are calculated from the date full payment is received, not the date the estimate or invoice is issued. Customers should account for this when reviewing their requested pickup date and making payment.
3. Order Deadlines & Rush Fees
Orders must be paid in full at least 14 calendar days before the requested pickup date to qualify as standard orders. Orders paid in full fewer than 14 calendar days before pickup are considered rush orders and are subject to availability.
If accepted, rush orders will incur a fee equal to 25% of the order price, excluding delivery costs, with a minimum rush fee of $50. The rush fee is calculated based on the order price before delivery charges are added.
Rush order fees are non-refundable, including when an order is canceled and the customer is otherwise eligible for a full or partial refund under the cancellation policy below.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
All cancellation and refund requests must be submitted by email to cookies@jgviolet.com. Refund eligibility is determined by the date the cancellation request is received relative to the scheduled pickup date:
14 or more calendar days before pickup: 100% refund of the order price, excluding any non-refundable rush fee.
8–13 calendar days before pickup: 50% refund of the order price, excluding any non-refundable rush fee.
7 calendar days or fewer before pickup: No refund.
Any applicable non-refundable rush fee will be deducted from the refund amount. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the email address listed above.
5. Allergens & Cross-Contamination
Our cookie and royal icing recipes do not contain nuts as ingredients. However, JGV Cookies operates from a home-based kitchen where nuts and other potential allergens may be present in other foods prepared in the same kitchen.
We make every effort to reduce the risk of cross-contamination by thoroughly cleaning work surfaces and tools between projects. However, our kitchen is not allergen-free, and we cannot guarantee that our products are free from traces of nuts or other allergens.
Our cookies contain wheat, eggs, and dairy. Customers with food allergies or sensitivities should carefully consider this information before placing an order. By proceeding with an order, customers acknowledge these potential allergen and cross-contamination risks.
6. Pickup & Delivery
Orders must be picked up in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, New York, unless an alternative arrangement is agreed upon in writing. The exact pickup address will be provided with your payment receipt following confirmation of your order.
Customers may request delivery through Uber Package at their own expense. Customers are responsible for arranging the courier, paying all associated delivery fees, and ensuring that the pickup and delivery details are accurate. The order will be made available for pickup by the courier on the scheduled pickup date.
JGV Cookies is not responsible for courier delays, loss, or damage occurring after the order has been released to the courier. By choosing courier delivery, the customer acknowledges and accepts these terms.
